We never can predict what might befall us in life. I pray that whatever happens we have the resources to deal with each situation as it arises.
Bio: Richard says this piece was written after the ‘Sydney Siege’ which helped him recognise the unpredictability of life and the sense that life is beyond our control. He hopes that when the unpredictable happens, we all have the resources within to deal with the situation and Richard says he is thinking of those affected by the siege.
A nice inspiring piece, Richard. It can be difficult finding ‘positives’ when all around can appear so bleak. You have achieved this well.
I like this poem very much Richard. It can be difficult to find ‘positives’ when there is so much bleakness in the world. You have achieved this very well…
I agree with this poem – goats are very unpredictable.
Demelza … thanks for that comment … I haven’t had a lot to do with goats until this one followed me home! … I do know of course that the poor old goat has suffered much as a religious symbol representing oppressors and wicked men … Cheers Richard
Poignant and perceptive. Margo
