Myfanwy Dabner

Newbridge, New South Wales

Australia

with his softening paw
his comforting fur
his perfecting purr
with this sun on low lids
tickling nerves with orange
I’m closed now.
with swallows singing so loudly
it lulls this soft nothing

to sleep.

Bio: Myfanwy says this piece began whilst lying in the elegant sun, and finished in the evening of the same day. Poetry is being in the moment to experience and finding a way to record the experience for a future moment.

I agree Myfanwy, there are some things that can’t be expressed better than by means of poetry.
