Paint Two

Virginia Gow

Blackheath, New South Wales

Australia

Sun
splits
the clouds
with light shafts,
as canvas bathes
in a pool of ultramarine,
evoking a gentle feeling
of deep connection to places filtered by this hue.
Just after dusk, fading sky reveals this vibrancy.
Painter places upon this seal,
mystical symbols
transposed from
beyond
this
veil.
Time wraps its cloak around this task
and folds it into
memory’s
keeping.
Sweet
dreams.
